The ALLIANCE OF MEDICAL TATTOOING (AMT) is a business league, 501(c)(6) non profit organization, created to help support businesses and artists in the medical tattooing field through the formation of policies, standards, ethics, and certification that set it apart from other tattooing industries. AMT certification signifies a medical tattoo artist has met a higher level of knowledge, practices, and skills to ensure exceptional client care.

AMT started in 2022 as a collective of professionals, most of whom are medical tattoo artists, whose careers and passions are focused on client advocacy, as well as implementing standards and guidelines to all who practice medical tattooing. AMT strives to be a reliable resource for the medical field, tattoo artists, and clients to protect those who receive medical tattoos.
